Every Bitcoin ATM in Tuen Mun

Eight machines, one that buys back, and not a single verified shop: Tuen Mun's crypto cash map looks nothing like Yuen Long's or Tsuen Wan's. Here is every listed machine, and what to do when the shop you searched for doesn't exist.

Looking for a Bitcoin ATM in Tuen Mun? As of 6 October 2026, the published lists of COINHERO, CoinUnit and Localcoin add up to eight machines in the district: four from COINHERO and two each from CoinUnit and Localcoin. COINHERO's machine on Tsing Hoi Circuit both buys and sells, around the clock, making it one of only two sell machines in the western New Territories. These counts come from operator lists, not site visits, so it's worth having a back-up in mind before you set off.

Tuen Mun's machines are spread in a very Tuen Mun way: one in the lobby of an industrial building, several in housing-estate laundromats, and two inside shops at malls, one a toy shop and one a hot-dog stand. They stretch from the town centre out to residential areas like Lung Mun Oasis and Siu Lun Court, so the Light Rail or a bus will often get you closer than the MTR.

Listed by operator, with addresses as the operators publish them so you can paste them into a map app. CoinUnit's two machines are buy-only at the machine; it handles sales through an online request form.

Two details stand out. First, COINHERO Tuen Mun #1 sits in the Block A2 lobby of Hang Wai Industrial Building on Kin Tai Street, an unusual venue for a crypto ATM. It's listed as 24-hour, but getting into an industrial building late at night may be another matter. Second, both Localcoin machines follow their host shop's hours rather than running around the clock. A long-abandoned "HK Bitcoin ATM" website (2018 footer) still lists a buy-and-sell machine at Shop 91 in the same building, which it spells Man Po Mansion, and a third-party directory places a Nitroswap machine at One Terminal, 2 Tsing Shan Square. We couldn't confirm either, so neither is counted. A CoinUnit machine at 3 Tsing Wu Square that appeared in late-September lists is no longer in the October feed.

Man Bo Building: the one place in Tuen Mun to sell

Only eight of Hong Kong's roughly 202 listed machines will buy crypto back for cash, all of them COINHERO's, and just two are in the western New Territories: Pau Cheung Square in Yuen Long and this one at Shop 94, G/F, Man Bo Building, 2 Tsing Hoi Circuit. It runs 24 hours. Selling costs 13% plus HK$25, or 6.5% for registered members.

  1. Check the amount and ID rules first

Up to HK$100,000 per transaction needs no registration. Above that you'll need a phone number, HKID or passport, a selfie and a fingerprint. Never split a trade to avoid registering.

  2. Choose “sell” and follow the screen

Before you send anything, read the rate and fee shown on screen and make sure you accept them.

  3. Wait for the network

Blockchain transfers take time and can be slow when the network is busy. Stay at the machine and don't hand your receipt to anyone.

  4. Count the cash and leave

Count your notes on the spot. Avoid handling large sums late at night around industrial buildings or street-level shops.

For example, selling HK$4,000 of Ether unregistered costs HK$520 plus HK$25, so HK$545. If you already have an account on a licensed platform, selling there and withdrawing HKD to your bank is usually much cheaper. We compare the routes in our cash-out guide.

Why there's no Tuen Mun USDT shop on this page

"USDT shop Tuen Mun" shows up in Google's suggestions in Chinese, so people are clearly looking. But as of 6 October 2026, none of the walk-in operators we track (One Satoshi, VBIT, Crypto HK, PP Crypto Exchange) lists a Tuen Mun branch on its website. We're not going to invent a shop to match a search term.

If USDT is what you're after, our USDT guide explains the routes that remain legal, and the stablecoin rules page covers the law. If you want a real counter, the nearest verified one is One Satoshi at In-Citi, 17 Kau Yuk Road, Yuen Long, reachable from Tuen Mun by Light Rail or the Tuen Ma line. Our crypto shops guide covers the rest of Hong Kong.

Getting there and opening hours

Tuen Mun station and the town centre are on the Tuen Ma line, but most of these machines are a Light Rail or bus ride away. Localcoin gives directions for its Sun Tuen Mun Centre machine: take the K52 bus towards Lung Kwu Tan, get off at Glorious Garden on Lung Mun Road and walk about a minute. Here's how the machines compare.

On fees: COINHERO publishes 13% plus HK$100. Localcoin's FAQ says 5% to 8%, but its kiosk data shows 13.5% plus HK$23, so the two don't match. CoinUnit shows its fee only on the machine. COINHERO's minimum is HK$500 and the first note must be HK$1,000 or HK$500; CoinUnit takes HK$500 and HK$1,000 notes only.

Using a Tuen Mun ATM safely

A South China Morning Post feature in September 2026 described how "grey-market" crypto ATMs in laundromats and claw-machine arcades can turn users into fraud victims. A common pattern: a scammer tells the victim to feed cash into a machine and send the coins to a wallet the scammer supplies. Police figures show HK$3.58 billion lost to online investment fraud in 2025, about a third of it involving virtual assets.

A real-world scenario

A retiree in Tuen Mun gets a call from “customer service” saying his investment account is frozen and he must deposit cash at a nearby Bitcoin ATM to release it.

That's a textbook scam. No legitimate platform asks you to pay through an ATM into a wallet address it gives you. If someone hands you a QR code to scan at a machine, stop, call the 18222 Anti-Scam Helpline, or check the details on Scameter.

A few habits help: only scan your own wallet's address, don't walk away before the transaction completes, keep the receipt, and if you're using a machine in an industrial building or a street-level laundromat late at night, go with someone.

Nearby and online alternatives

The nearest alternatives are all on the Tuen Ma line. Yuen Long and Tin Shui Wai have 11 listed machines, a second 24-hour sell machine at Pau Cheung Square and the One Satoshi shop on Kau Yuk Road. Tsuen Wan has 17 machines and two staffed counters, but no machine that buys back. To compare all eight sell machines across the city, use our Bitcoin ATM map.

The cheapest and best-protected option usually isn't a machine at all. Hong Kong's 13 SFC-licensed platforms (as of October 2026) accept HKD by FPS or eDDA, charge far less, and keep client assets with licensed custodians; see the list of SFC-licensed platforms. If you already use ZA Bank, Mox or Futu, you can buy inside the app (bank and broker apps). Other districts are on the areas map.

Frequently asked questions

Where is there a Bitcoin ATM in Tuen Mun?

Operator lists from COINHERO, CoinUnit and Localcoin, checked on 6 October 2026, show eight crypto ATMs in Tuen Mun: on Tsing Hoi Circuit, in Sun Tuen Mun Centre, K-Point, Lung Mun Oasis, Siu Lun Court and elsewhere. Most are open 24 hours. Full addresses are on this page; the whole city is on our Bitcoin ATM map.

Is there a USDT shop in Tuen Mun?

Not one we could verify. People search for it, but no walk-in crypto operator lists a Tuen Mun branch. And since the Stablecoins Ordinance took effect, the government has said shops can't offer USDT to the public anyway. The nearest verified shop is One Satoshi in Yuen Long; legal USDT routes are in our USDT guide.

Can I sell Bitcoin for cash in Tuen Mun?

Yes. COINHERO Tuen Mun #3, at Shop 94, G/F Man Bo Building, 2 Tsing Hoi Circuit, is flagged by the operator as buy-and-sell and runs 24 hours. Selling costs 13% plus HK$25, or 6.5% for registered members. The other seven Tuen Mun machines are buy-only.

How much do Tuen Mun Bitcoin ATMs charge?

COINHERO charges 13% plus HK$100 to buy. Localcoin's kiosk data shows 13.5% plus HK$23. CoinUnit doesn't publish a fee; it shows one on screen. On HK$2,000, COINHERO's fee comes to about HK$360. A licensed platform funded by FPS is usually far cheaper; see our FPS guide.

Are Bitcoin ATMs used in scams?

Often, yes. The machines are run by their operators, but scammers commonly tell victims to feed cash into an ATM and send the coins to a wallet the scammer controls. If anyone on the phone or social media tells you to go to a Tuen Mun machine to “unfreeze” an account or pay a fee, stop and call the 18222 Anti-Scam Helpline. More on our scams page.
