1. Information only, not advice
The site provides general information about buying, holding and selling crypto-assets in Hong Kong. It is not investment, financial, legal or tax advice, and it is not a recommendation to buy, sell or hold any asset or to use any particular platform. We are not licensed or registered with the Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) or any other regulator. Before you act, consider your own circumstances and, where appropriate, get advice from a licensed professional.
2. Accuracy and no warranty
We check facts against primary sources and date our checks, as explained in our methodology. But fees, licences, terms of service and machine locations change, sometimes without notice. The site is provided “as is”, without any warranty that it is complete, accurate or current. Always confirm details on the operator’s official website and verify licences on the SFC’s register before you act.
3. External links and third-party services
The site links to regulators, exchanges, banks, ATM operators and other third parties, including through call-to-action buttons. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, products, availability or privacy practices. A link is not an endorsement of everything on the linked site, and any agreement you enter into is between you and that third party. BuyCrypto.hk is independent and not affiliated with the platforms it mentions.
4. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or reliance on, the site or any linked site, including trading losses, lost profits, frozen accounts or losses caused by fraud. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under Hong Kong law.
5. Using our content
Text, graphics and data compilations on the site are protected by copyright. You may share links and quote short passages with attribution and a link back. Republishing whole pages or scraping the site requires our written permission. Brand names belong to their owners and are used only to identify them.
6. Governing law and changes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, and the courts of Hong Kong have non-exclusive jurisdiction.
