The fastest way to reach the editorial team is contacts@buycrypto.hk. We read every message. We aim to reply within a few working days, and corrections that check out are fixed on the page, with the update date changed.
What to write to us about
| Topic | What helps us act quickly |
|---|---|
| Corrections | The page URL, what is wrong, and a link to a primary source (SFC, HKMA, government or the operator’s own page). |
| ATM and shop operators | Machines added or removed, new addresses, opening hours, buy or sell capability, fee changes. Please link to your official location list or announcement. |
| Platforms | Licence changes, new payment methods, fee schedule updates, with a link to the official page or SFC register entry. |
| Reader questions | Questions about something we wrote, or a topic we have not covered yet. |
Listing updates are checked against the operator’s published information before we change a page. We do not accept payment for listings, and sending us information does not guarantee inclusion; see our methodology.
What we can’t help with
We are an information website, not a financial firm. We cannot give personal financial, investment, legal or tax advice, tell you which coin to buy, or assess a specific investment opportunity. We have no access to any exchange, bank or wallet account, so we cannot unlock accounts, chase withdrawals or contact a platform on your behalf.
If you have been scammed

Contact the authorities straight away, not us. Call the police Anti-Scam Helpline 18222, run by the Anti-Deception Coordination Centre, or file a report through the police e-Report Centre. Before you pay anyone, you can check a website, phone number or wallet with the police Scameter tool, and check a platform’s licence on the SFC’s list and alert list. Be wary of “fund recovery” services that contact you after a loss: they are a common second scam. Our scams guide explains the patterns we see most in Hong Kong.
