What we collect
BuyCrypto.hk is a static website. There are no user accounts, logins, comment boxes, newsletters or forms, and we do not ask for your name, phone number or ID. We do not set cookies and we do not run advertising or analytics trackers.
Like any website, the server that hosts our pages may record standard technical logs when your browser requests a page: your IP address, the time, the page requested, the referring page and your browser’s user-agent string. These logs are kept by our hosting provider for security and troubleshooting. We do not combine them with other data or use them to identify individuals.
Third parties
CoinGecko price data. Some pages, such as the home page price ticker and the HKD converters, fetch live reference prices from CoinGecko’s public API directly from your browser. That request goes to CoinGecko, which can see your IP address and browser details like any website you connect to. No personal data from us is included. See CoinGecko’s privacy policy.
External links. We link to regulators, operators and other sites, including the platform behind our call-to-action buttons. Once you leave buycrypto.hk, that site’s own privacy policy applies, and it may set its own cookies. External links on our pages are marked nofollow and open in a new tab.
Fonts and images are served from our own domain; we do not load fonts or scripts from advertising networks.
If you email us
When you write to contacts@buycrypto.hk, we receive your email address and whatever you include. We use it only to reply and to act on corrections, and we do not add you to any mailing list. Please do not send passwords, recovery phrases or ID documents.
Changes
If our practices change, for example if we ever add analytics, we will update this page and its date before the change takes effect. Related: our terms of use.
